With a vision to one day be able to stay at home with my family while still contributing financially, I started a small Etsy shop from a storage closet in college. As my small business grew and that dream came true, so did my passion for helping other women who shared the desire to work from home but still do something they love. So around here, you'll find resources and tools to help you steward your home and work well.
If you’ve followed me for awhile now, you know that I’m pretty much a ‘what you see is what you get’ kind of gal. From sharing my unglamorous struggle with cystic acne (see episode here) to honestly chatting about frustrations in my marriage (spoiler alert: you’re not the only one- see episode here), you could say I’m an open book (with, of course, the exceptions of a few pieces of life that I love to keep sacred).
But there’s one, very special person in my life that you haven’t heard from before. A behind the scenes, gets the best and not so great parts of me, that is my first line of defense kind of person. You may be thinking ‘J! We’ve already heard from your husband, Matt!’ And you’re right – that’s because I’m talking about my powerhouse manager, Kacie.
She’s strong, she’s witty- and she knows pretty much everything about me. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work with me, this episode is your behind the scenes sneak peek you’ve been waiting for.
I loved recording this little, bonus episode with Kacie because you’ll hear just how much fun our team has together. And also because I share with you some embarrassing stories – like why I made my mom go wedding dress shopping *after* I had already purchased one.
As I chat with Kacie in this episode, I also talk through some of my work tendencies and how I handle failure. You’ll hear the unusual way I gained this self awareness at a young age – and I challenge you to do the same if you’re over there like, ‘Jordan I don’t know how to navigate obstacles! I just try to avoid them!’
Sister, I feel ya. But taking the time to know yourself to this level will serve you SO well in the long run.
After you listen in, head on over to the Together Network to let me know if you identified any parts of your story in mine – I want to hear if we share a hidden talent or deal with set backs in a similar manner!
Oh, one more thing. Make sure you listen all the way to the end of this episode. You can thank me later.
