Practical Ways to Support Your Passion

Should you choose the path to a practical career or one that supports your passions?

I recently received a text from a gal essentially asking that question. She really wanted to pursue photography full time, but wasn’t sure how exactly to be able to support herself while supporting this passion.

And honestly, thanks to the internet, it’s a question asked a lot these days. It’s easier than ever to carve out and create your own career through online resources and a simple Google search.

But at the end of the day, you may be still asking , is this the smart route to to take?

I’m here to set the record straight on this little practical vs passion debate.

Listen in to today’s episode as I dive into:

  • The BETTER question to ask yourself (it’s probably not what you think);
  • Tangible tips on how to actually support a passion or side hustle; and
  • How to make moves that move the needle.

Sis, you’re not in this alone. Identify what you love, focus on your decided upon priorities for that season, and your excitement will transcend to whatever work you put out into the world.

You’ve got this – especially after applying these tips on how to support your passion.

Want a deeper dive for when you’re feeling a overwhelmed on which direction to take? Grab a copy of my book here. It’s the girlfriend guide for when you’re feeling directionless or maybe trying to take too many directions.

I'm Jordan Lee Dooley. I'm just a simple Indiana girl, writing, speaking, and handing out free hugs left and right. In college, I started a blog called SoulScripts, just for fun, and to speak life and truth into any peers that might have stumbled upon it. I never imagined it'd end up reaching hundreds of thousands, turn into books, speaking, and more. But hey, it's true: when you just say yes to God right where you are, He does more than you could ever ask or imagine. Let's help you find your yes and start walk in your gifting, too. Sound good?
