Ever feel that you can’t simply ‘unplug’ from work? What if there is an emergency? And someone needs you? Maybe your boss sent you one last email that you need to answer?
Whether you work from an office, create in a studio, raise the kiddos at home, or complete tasks remotely – we can be constantly connected to the lifeline of our phones and computer.
And yet – life continues on. And will pass us by if we aren’t careful.
So how the heck are ya supposed to complete your to-do list while also being present once the work day is over?
Well, it starts with some boundaries my friend.
One of my go-to tips is probably the opposite of what you want to dive into first thing in the morning to cross off the list – emails.
Do not start your day off by answering emails.
When you start off with emails, it will make you feel as if you didn’t accomplish any actual tasks. And it places you in a reactive posture, rather than a proactive one, to start off your day or your week.
Listen in to today’s episode as I walk through a handful of other boundaries I set to make sure I turn the work off and become present with my friends and family.
You’ll learn…
- How to find work life balance by effectively prioritizing your time,
- Realizing the importance behind distinguished work areas, and
- Why accountability is crucial.
This episode is sure to help set the boundaries you need to live the present life you desire, sister.
