hey there

Raise your hand if you’ve ever had a health or fitness goal?

Now raise your hand if that health or fitness goal somehow transformed into this slippery little slope of obsessive thoughts, negative body image, and judgmental food voices in your mind?

Well, sister. If you’re hand is still raised, I’m standing over here with you, beside you, and cheering you on into freedom.

I’ve been down that road and taken that journey. I remember how isolating it was when I would obsessively think about every little calorie taken in at a meal or burned off in the gym.

But I’m here to tell you that there is freedom to be found in your relationship with food. You CAN eat healthy without obsessively thinking about the healthy food.

And someone else who know knows this journey well is my friend, Sarah Grace Spann. Sarah is the Founder of Fresh Fit N Healthy, the author of the book Chasing Freedom, a former D1 athlete, and a Registered Dietitian with an MS in Exercise Physiology. So yeah, she definitely knows her stuff – which is why I knew she would be perfect for the show. Sarah is one of those people who can assist you with the science behind healthy eating along with also giving you a fresh perspective of yourself in the middle of your fitness journey. It’s a gift, really.

In this episode, Sarah and I dive into breaking old food habits, how you can be confident before you hit those fitness goals, and the real danger when we begin to link our own morality with our food decisions. You’ll learn details on the hormones that make you feel full, how to correctly pair your meals and snacks, and the true effects of stress on your body.

I love Sarah’s perspective on a healthy food relationship, and I also so respect her for the knowledge she has gained on the science and research behind nutritional eating. So if you already have a healthy relationship with food or exercise, but want to know more on nutrition, how to fuel your body well, and learn some ‘science-y’ things (this will make more sense when you listen in! 🙂 ) – you’re in the right place.

Sister, your health is so important, but please remember your health is more than just the food you eat – it includes your mental and emotional state as well. I want to see you stepping into your most healthy lifestyle yet, and I’m hoping my conversation with Sarah serves a small piece of that journey.

It’s time to break up with those unhealthy thoughts cycling through your mind and begin your healthy and balanced relationship with food- and yourself.
