If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you probably know that I used to be seriously addicted to coffee and caffeine…. like I became a coffee mug collector and had multiple double-shot lattes everyday kind of addicted.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I don’t think that coffee is bad or that we need to demonize caffeine. We can all enjoy a hot mug of coffee in the morning or a little pick-me-up from time to time.

But, if you’ve become dependent on it, where you become a different person without it or your caffeine-free-self is basically the equivalent of Oscar the Grouch, that could be a red flag that it’s affecting you too much and your body doesn’t have the natural energy that you need to get through the day.

Over the past couple of years, as I have gone through my own health journey, I’ve learned a lot about how the constant caffeine was affecting me, and even more importantly, what I needed to do to make sure my body was getting what it needed to produce natural energy. And now, I’m *mostly* coffee and caffeine-free, except for the occasional cup of coffee as a treat or some lower caffeine alternatives I drink from time to time.

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about why I cut out coffee, how I did it, and what I drink instead. So I’m answering all of that in this episode of the SHE podcast!

Learn How I Cut Out Caffeine

If you feel like you’ve become too dependent on your daily intake of caffeine, want more natural energy, or just want to explore some other alternatives for a hot drink, make sure you tune in to this episode. You’ll learn:

    • Why I cut out caffeine and what different experts have to say about enjoying a cup of joe
    • Benefits I’ve seen from lowering my caffeine intake
    • The process I followed to gradually limit the amount of coffee I drink
    • My favorite hot and cold coffee alternatives

And I’d love to hear from you! Let us know in the comments: what does your relationship with caffeine look like?
