Wherever you are on your journey, whether you’re not ready to have kids for another 10 years, you’re actively trying, or you’re walking through pregnancy loss, nutrition plays a big role in supporting your fertility and overall health.

But let’s be honest. Eating healthy and making lifestyle changes can feel pretty overwhelming and stressful.

There are a million different opinions and rules on what you should or shouldn’t eat. And before you know it, you’re feeling stressed out and totally confused.

I mean, do you eat the avocado or not? 🥑  🤷‍♀️

When you’re working on supporting your health and fertility, the last thing you need is more stress and confusion.

So I brought Whitney Gingerich on to the podcast to help simplify everything.

HELPING WOMEN SUPPORT FERTILITY THROUGH NUTRITION

Whitney is a registered dietician and nutritionist, who runs her own practice, The Fertility Nut, where her passion is to help ladies and high achieving women cut the BS and support fertility (without going insane!).

Whitney personally helped me so much as I walked through a double miscarriage loss. One of the things I love the most about her is that she has such a healthy approach to nutrition.

She’s encouraging and grace-based and her goal is really to minimize as much stress as possible. She’s not gonna give you an overwhelming list of rules and expect you to be perfect.

Instead, she guides you and helps you learn how to incorporate healthy fertility-boosting foods into your life in a way that works for you.

And oh man, does she have some great wisdom to share with you today!

YOU HAVE TIME

There really is a lot of great information in this episode, from what foods you can incorporate to help support fertility to how to support your adrenals and what to do if you’ve experienced pregnancy loss.

I can’t share it all here (you’ll just have to go and listen to the episode for yourself 😉 ), but I do want to highlight one thing from our conversation that really stood out to me.

Whitney said that one of her biggest pieces of advice to women is that you don’t have to do it all. YOU HAVE TIME.

We live in a world that tells us we should want to have it all, all at the same time. We’re supposed to give 100% to our career, 100% to our family, 100% to our health, and 100% to everything else.

But the math doesn’t add up. It’s not possible to do it all at the same time, and there is an insane amount of pressure on women to try and do and be everything for everyone. That pressure and stress can actually worsen our fertility.

Life comes in seasons for a reason. If you wanna write 10 books, that’s great! You have a lot of life to do that. It doesn’t all have to be done right now.

We need to give ourselves permission to regularly reevaluate our life and our priorities for the specific season we’re in. Is everything on my plate something I want to be there? And does it have to happen this year, this week, or this minute?

When it comes to fertility, in particular, we also find ourselves being pressured by time. We all have that biological clock ticking in the back of our minds. And those who have walked through miscarriage sometimes feel like there’s a rush to get to the next pregnancy, even before you’ve healed physically and emotionally.

Remind yourself today that you have time.

You have time to take a step back. You have time to get your health figured out. You have time to heal from loss. You have time to nourish your body. You have time to accomplish great things without needing to do it all right now.
