Every moment has the opportunity to become extraordinary, it truly depends on how we decide react to any opportunity. Oftentimes life gives us a choice to turn imperfections into impact and it’s up to us to take it or leave it.
Have you ever wondered what true joy really means for you? What the moments to celebrate are?
Oftentimes the public celebrates our big wins and we lose focus on what really matters.
For example, my friend, and author of You Are the Key had a huge success recently and met Oprah. Amazing right? As amazing as that was, her moments with her son are worth an even bigger celebration to her.
Being Human
It’s so easy to feel like you need to succeed at all things. Succeed at your job, succeed at being a parent, at being a wife, at being a coach, every single piece of your life, you feel like you need to be on top of it.
That’s not true.
We get to choose what we say yes or no to on a daily basis, and sometimes that yes might not be the popular answer, but if it’s right for you, make the choice.
Creating Impact
I brought on Caitlin to chat about how to turn imperfections into impact. Growing up in Los Angeles, CA she had a dream of being an entertainer. Randomly, eleven years ago, she decided to get words like “hope” stamped onto keys and brought them out to sell.
Well one thing led to another and those keys had a bigger impact than her music did and they’ve led her to where she is today.
Caitlin has dealt with health problems all her life, from three surgeries, to body confidence struggles, and much more, that’s what made her turn to charitable work. She wanted to make an impact and have a bigger purpose.
She believes that if we fail intentionally we’ll actually lead better lives. So we have to turn imperfections into impact.
Why? Because the perfect balance truthfully is impossible and the more we beat ourselves up searching for it, the harder life becomes.
What’s your imperfect impact going to be? What leap are you going to take? Is there something you’ve wanted to create in order to give back that you’ve been putting off?
