With a vision to one day be able to stay at home with my family while still contributing financially, I started a small Etsy shop from a storage closet in college. As my small business grew and that dream came true, so did my passion for helping other women who shared the desire to work from home but still do something they love. So around here, you'll find resources and tools to help you steward your home and work well.
Loss. Let’s talk about it. I mean, could there be a more appropriate time to talk about such a topic?
It’s no secret that we’re living through unprecedented times that have caused pain, suffering, loss, and difficulty for many. All of us have been touched by the global COVID-19 crisis in one way or another, whether medically, relationally, financially, or all of the above.
So many experienced loss in some way during these tough times, and it can be so easy to feel defeated and discouraged when the world around is in complete and total crisis.
Perhaps you’ve experienced the loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, or the loss of the life you thought you’d have. Maybe you’ve had to navigate this global crisis in the midst of your own personal pain, whether mental illness, tragedy, the loss of a child, or something else.
And in those times, it can be so normal to wonder, “Is God still good when life is not?” and “how do we keep faith through hardship?”
Sister, if you’re walking through hardship and find yourself asking, “Is God even good?” or “How do I hold onto any shred of faith through THIS?” this episode of SHE is going to bless you in more ways than one.
Truly, this conversation with trauma survivor and author, Maria Hatch-Bowersock was like a healing balm on my own soul, as we recorded this just two months after I suffered a miscarriage.
Maria has a story of loss and grief so deep that it almost doesn’t feel real, and her honest story surrounding her healing journey and wrestling with faith in the process is powerful, practical, and empowering all at once.
Tune into this episode to learn practical tools and a holy, honest perspective on what healing truly looks like (aka don’t expect any churchy cliches in this conversation!).
