hey there

Have you ever thought something negative about yourself or your situation? Maybe you’ve learned from experience that it doesn’t take long before that single toxic thought can lead to a downward spiral of negative emotions, depression, or anxiety.

Soon, you feel like your mind’s a mess and you’re not sure how to get yourself out of the mental or emotional state you’ve found yourself in.

Maybe you’ve struggled with falling asleep or you’ve had a negative relationship with food. Maybe you’re a people pleaser or you’re fighting against toxic perfectionism.

Or maybe you’ve experienced a past trauma that has stuck with you.

Whatever your experience or struggle, the mind likely plays a powerful role.

But the good news is that our minds can be managed and even rewired to overcome those struggles. Research has shown that you can heal from toxic thoughts, emotional distress, and trauma.

And that’s exactly what I talked about on the SHE podcast with neuroscientist Dr. Caroline Leaf.

And trust me when I say… this episode is going to blow your mind, friend! 🤯

Meet Dr. Caroline Leaf

Dr. Caroline Leaf is a communication pathologist and cognitive neuroscientist who specializes in cognitive and metacognitive neuropsychology (translation: she knows what she’s talking about).

For over 30 years, she has researched the mind-brain connection, the nature of mental health, and the formation of memory.

She was even one of the first in her field to study neuroplasticity (how the brain can change and be rewired).

Through years of research, she has developed the mind management technique called the NeuroCycle that can rewire your brain and help with issues from anxiety and depression to trauma and perfectionism.

She has shared her findings to help countless people heal and manage their thoughts, and has reached even more through her bestselling books, including her latest: Cleaning Up Your Mental Mess: 5 Simple Scientifically Proven Steps to Reduce Anxiety, Stress, and Toxic Thinking.
