With a vision to one day be able to stay at home with my family while still contributing financially, I started a small Etsy shop from a storage closet in college. As my small business grew and that dream came true, so did my passion for helping other women who shared the desire to work from home but still do something they love. So around here, you'll find resources and tools to help you steward your home and work well.
Staying motivated is hard. I mean, think about it. There are A LOT of things to stay motivated to. Working out. Studying for exams. A promotion at work. A relationship milestone. Learning an instrument. The list goes on.
So with all these things swirling, it can be a tall order to remain focused to ensure our actions align with our priorities. And on top of all this, it’s easier than ever for our time to be distracted by things that aren’t exactly helping us remain committed to those goals (ahem, endless hours on Instagram). I feel you.
Sister, if you’ve ever had a goal just ready and waiting to be achieved, but you cant seem to muster up enough ‘motivation’ to follow through on it, I’ve got you covered in this ‘Ask J’ series kick off episode.
In this episode, I had a gal write in and asked ‘how do you remain motivated?’ Such a good question, friend, because it definitely takes some awareness and discipline. Tune in to learn my 7 best tips on the art of follow through that I put into practice every day- even when my ‘feelings of motivation’ tell me otherwise.
Sister, it’s time to align your priorities and behaviors to make those dreams become a reality. Do that work out. Run that marathon. Grab that promotion. Finish that Bible study. Ace that test.
With a few action oriented pieces of advice – paired with some vital mindset shifts- you’ll soon be amazing yourself with your productivity and ability to remain committed to your goals – intentionally, realistically, & simply.
Now go out there and kick those unmotivated feelings in the pants. Got it? 😉
