Raise your hand if this sounds like you… 🙋‍♀️

You hop onto Instagram to see what some of your friends are up to and pretty soon you find yourself scrolling through countless feeds and stories. You see all these other people – including family and friends – but you suddenly feel alone, instead of connected.

Maybe  you even notice you begin comparing yourself to the lives you see on the screen, and you feel like you’re not where you’re supposed to be, or where you wanted to be, in life by now.

What started as a search for connection, ended in loneliness and competition.

If you’ve ever felt that way, you’re not alone.

And that’s why I brought Natalie Franke on to the podcast to talk about how to cultivate community over competition in the age of social media.

If there’s anyone who understands the importance of community, it’s Natalie.

Discover The Power of Community Over Competition

Natalie Franke is a writer, entrepreneur, and community builder. As one of the founders of the Rising Tide Society, a group of creative entrepreneurs who gather across the world in the spirit of community over competition, she turned to hashtag #communityovercompetition into a movement that spanned the globe.

During this time, Natalie was also diagnosed with a brain tumor, went through neurosurgery, and struggled with infertility. It was her community that helped her through it all and showed her the true power of authentic community.

Natalie’s new book, Built to Belong: Discovering the Power of Community Over Competition, explores how to find true community in a fiercely competitive world that is often full of scarcity mindset and endless comparison. The book is a bold reminder that we can succeed while cheering for others to succeed too.

Trust me when I say that this episode will speak to you and inspire you to build authentic community!
