Finding Balance as a Multi-Passionate, Ambitious Woman

I'm Jordan!
I'm a mama by birth and adoption after years of recurrent pregnancy loss with a passion for helping other women support their health and well-being on their motherhood journeys.
hey there

Are you feeling contentment in your relationships and passions?

Or complacent in your work and dreams?

While they are wildly different in nature, they can feel weirdly similar at times. So it’s a hard line to find, my friend.

In a culture that promotes hustle and celebrates busy-ness, it’s difficult to find REST – especially when you’re mutli-passionate and naturally a go-getter.

So I’m here to tell you – I STRUGGLE WITH IT, TOO, SISTER.

I’m an Enneagram 3. If that doesn’t mean anything to ya, you’re not alone because it didn’t use too much to me either. The Enneagram is sort of like a personality assessment, but it focuses more on your motivations and fears behind your behavior so you can identify your thought patterns that eventually lead to behavior patterns. There are nine different numbers, so you should for sure check it out if you haven’t yet to see what number you are.

Anywho, I’m an Enneagram 3 which is called The Achiever. Sounds pretty good on the outside, right? Well what this can mean is that I can go-go-go, and can pretty much sustain that lifestyle more than most…until I can’t. And then let’s just call on the unhealthy behavior to take a front row seat in life.

So even if you’re not an Enneagram 3, I’m wondering if you can relate to this routine of hustle and image maintenance – while simultaneously wrestling with self doubt.

I wanted to share about this in this episode to let you know you aren’t alone if you feel like you ‘should’ be doing more, or ‘you’re missing out’ on something because you aren’t constantly ‘achieving’ something.

Because the truth is: you’re not. Let’s slow down together, sister.

In this episode, you’ll hear about:

  • What can be created when you just give yourself time to be ‘bored’,
  • Why it’s necessary to actually acknowledge and celebrate your wins, and
  • How to help a friend who may have hustle habits.

And just to make sure I didn’t leave out any blindspots on my own quirks, I brought my husband on this episode to help me out. Because who doesn’t love giving their spouse a free pass to expose some of your unhealthy tendencies?!

Sister, I hope this encourages you to find the joy in the small things and take this as your permission to slow down. Because who knows what you’ll create when you do.
